Our Volunteers
Volunteer at Reception
We presently have 16 volunteers who work in the following roles to benefit older people and the centre. Some cover more than one role.
It is important to recognise the work that volunteers do to make our centre a warm and friendly place where people feel welcome and relaxed. We could not do this without them all.
We have had wonderful feedback and comments from our visitors. We have 2 – 3 social events a year at IBC as well as the wider county events where our volunteers can meet each other.
Part of our commitment to our volunteers is to make sure they feel appreciated and valued. We are working towards an award for the way we work with volunteers.
The staff at the centre aim to support volunteers in the good work that they do.
We offer regular support to make sure they feel their time is well invested. Different volunteers will be given opportunities to go on different training to benefit them in their roles.
